Can anyone help me with a little problem i've had since i first got my Pronto.

Pressing the volume button or light dimming button sends a single code so when changing volume you need a long series of button presses to get anywhere. Also i can only turn my lights on or off as it requires a continuous code to control dimming.

Can you make it so Pronto will send a code all the while you are pressing the button so volume changes can be controlled by a single long press as on the manufactures remote.

Any help would be great!!

I found the volume control a problem at first, then re-learnt the codes directly on to the rc5000 (same remote as pronto I gather) keeping the source remote volume up or down held down until the rc5000 beeped.

The rc5000 does seem to send a repeat code to continuousley adjust the volume, though the lights have been another matter again and I've been unable to get anything other than on and off.

Wow! You got the lights to work as well?

I'm still trying though I have been able to capture varying lengths of ir code by varying distance between remote and Marantz. I suspect the light remote as it uses a 9v battery is a very strong signal and is overloading the marantz - but I'm not a techhie.

Somewhere there is a valid code that will work.
