The current Anthem AVM2 volume up/down commands only ramp "3 db's" at a time when you press&hold button. I have tried different techniques with no success. Please email or post the correct command if you have it. Thanx.....AC

Try reteaching the pronto with the anthem remote. This time leave the anthem volume control pushed down until the pronto beeps and is ready for the next command.
How do you like the anthem? Looked at one recently. Also looking at the new bryston.
Dan.

I have had an Anthem AVM2 almost since the day it was released. I've tried many things such as leaving it held longer when teaching the remote, but all that does is jump the volume in increments of 1db rather than 0.5db to a max of 3db before stopping. The other problem is that the on screen menu button cannot be learned. This is because it is part of the sub-woofer key. To access the menu, the sub-woofer key must be held for 5 seconds. The RC5000 learning mode cuts out before this time. I've tried repeating with varying amounts of delay but I have not found anything that will work on a consistent basis. I have e-mailed the engineers at Sonic Frontiers and they e-mailed back the remote codes that are used, but of course they don't look anything like the RC5000 codes. I have not sat down to analyse these codes and given that I do not have experience with remote codes themselves, I'm not sure that I can figure them out. I've had the RC5000 for over a year and I feel I am quite versed in programming it so far, making macros, switching sources, etc for a moderate sound system (2 VCRS, CD Player, CD Transport, DAC, Turntable, Tape Deck, DVD, Digital Cable, Phono pre-amp, TV, AVM2 and MCA5 amp). If you contact Sonic Frontiers they may shed some light on this, I just have not found the time to do so, but they seemed eager to help.
