Help please!
I trying to configure my Pronto by adding a new button on the home page. This should when pressed open up a TV screen page. However, on the main home screen, the TV button is not showing when the emulator or remote is running. I have some other buttons on the main screen which display and link to the correct page.
What am I doing wrong? I can send my sample .ccf file if necessary.
Thanks,
Al.

You need to assign an action, such as a dely, to the button or it won't show up.

Thanks - that worked.
However - do you know why none of my other buttons have the Action field filled in and they work? The only field filled in is the Jump field - this is set to jup to the relevant page.
Thanks,

A jump is an action :)
A button that does nothing is useless

In fact in the new RC5000 software jumps appear in the action list -- which makes a little more sense.

common sense

Daniel,
I have a question. You say this makes sense and I agree, but I'm not sure. I haven't tried it but just assumed that if the jump was assigned and listed and you then added ir,or aliases after the jump you would lose the actions after the jump. I have been moving the jump action to the bottom. Do I have to move jump or can it stay in the middle of action commands and still isuue ir or does it have to remain at bottom? If it does have to remain at bottom, also so a button can't be pressed on destination page before original button action has been completed, I feel that the software should be updated to always place jump action at bottom of action list. This was not even a question with previos software because jump was clearly not affecting list. I hope I'm not wasting your time just because I don't have the time to experiment.

The way the new RC5000 software works, jumps can be in the middle of an action list -- so, for example, send a few IR codes, jump to a page that says "working", send a few more, then jump to a new page that says "done". ProntoEdit, however, hasn't been updated recently but won't carry the "jumps in a macro" feature. They may still decide to change the *way* jumps work in ProntoEdit, but forcing them to the end of the action list, as you describe.

I was having this same problem, and just figured out why I couldn't see the button I had added to the home screen. I tried adding a delay, but that didn't help.

In Pronto Edit under Home, look at system properties. Under configuration properties there are three options, the last of which is HOME panels are write-protected.
After turning that option off, I was able to see my new buttons.
This was on a TSU2000 with Pronto Edit 2.0
