Barry,
If you don't mind answering a few more questions...

On the rx-v3000:
1)Are there any presets/memories for the second room volume control (or any other way besides +/- to set the volume level directly)?

2)Are the rec out / second room source controls tied together, like the rx-v1000, or separate (like the 2092)?

3)A reason to spend almost twice the amount for a rx-v1000 to get the 2 front effect amps, rear center amp, 1 extra A/V I/O, and better DACs? Don't get me wrong, I really want a 3000, but am trying to justify the extra $$$s...

Daryl,

Just to confirm, only the first 3 volume settings work on my RX-V1000 too.

Barry,

Your CCF is great. Many thanks.

Does anyone have IR codes for the volume controls (up, down & mute) of the remote for a Yamaha RX-V992 receiver? I could really use them if you do, since my wife made toast of the original Yamaha remote that came with the receiver.

Thanks!
