I have an imported CD player which uses the RC5-24 code series. Does anyone know of a US or European model device which also uses this code family. I would like to get a One For ALL remote programmed and am searching for another popolar device which also uses that code series. Thanks

Hi,
Is RC5-24 short for RC5, system 24 (which would be a little odd, since system 24 has been reserved for an IR keyboard...)?
Regards,
Jan

Yes that means RC5 and system 24. The unit I am trying to get to work is a remote for a satellite dish which was locally manufactured in Europe.I did not know 24 was reserved for an IR keyboard. However in this case, it has been used for a sat dish. By the way, where can you review the RC5 standard and see what is reserved for what? Thanks Surfboy

Here is a link to a web site with lots of information and links, including what look like a complete listing of RC5 and RC5x code mappings. [Link: hut.fi]
