Hi!

Are there other pronto owners in switzerland or germany? Since the built in rc-codes don't seem to work on our equipment, we could perhaps exchange our codes ...

Regards
Fermin

Not yet but I hope to buy one very soon. Did you buy yours in Europe or get it shipped from the US ?

regards,

Dave.

Pronto's are ONLY available in the USA, 'fraid us Europeans loose out again, even though ProntoEdit is being developed in Belgium, and Philips is a Dutch Company!!!

Well, yes there are Pronto owners in Switzerland. I myself know of some, as I caused them to buy one. Unfortunately this has to be done in the US (have a look at www.prontoedit.com, very fast shipping, took just 4 days!) and of course there is NO support here whatsoever.
Many of the Prontos built-in codes work here too, as long as it is Philips equipment. But because the Pronto has great learning capabilities, it didn't bother me so far and with the prontoedit software you can do almost everything.

The Pronto is still available in France (Only in Paris for the moment E.g.: ESPACE +, 10, rue Gros 75016 Paris), but I have bought mine in the US before it was.
I have a Philips TV and also a VCR that are both working fine with the built-in RC codes. If yours aren't you can try to use those who are defined in the IR DB available in Button properties (European IR codes are defined there).

The Philips customer service desk informed me they should be available in the Netherlands early May.....
