Hello!

I downloaded protoedit, and have it successfully connected to my pronto. The 42 page manual has no info on this program. I just can't get started.

I made a home panel with the names of my devices on it, and then made a list of the devices under "devices". All I have are blank panels though.

I downloaded pertinent CCF files, but I cannot figure out how to get them into the "devices" that I named. "paste" does not work to bring the devices over to my folder.

I am usually pretty good at computers and programs, but just can't seem to get this going. It seems that everyone automatically has devices with a few buttons on it to modify.

Please point me in the right direction so I can enjoy my pronto and programming it.

Did you read the ProntoEdit manual? [Link: remotecentral.com]

Great Idea! However where do I download this from? The link you gave me is a readme.txt file, but only discusses installation problems. My downloaded version of prontoEdit does not show a readme.txt.

Any help to find this manual is appreciated!

Click on the files, choose pronto, scroll down to almost the bottom, click on documentation and fixes, look for ProntoEdit, click to download.
Hope this helps.

Ken: Thank you! I found it easily with your directions above, and printed it. It is exactly what I need to get going. It even explains why I cannot copy a single device, and then shows a work around!
