Apologies for the previous post somehow managed to hit submit. Anyway my full message should be:

Hi,

Received my Pronto yesterday, and was amazed that for a box that does so much, just how little there is in the user manual.

So my questions are:

1) What do I need to start programming my new toy? I have downloaded the latest prontoedit (My home machine is MT4 SP6). I have also updated the firmware to the latest revision.

2) I noticed I number of useful utilities on this site. What are the recommendations for a beginner to creating and editing CCF files?

3) I also noticed a number of CCF files that have some of the AV kit I have, is it possible to edit and merge CCF files to create my own personal CCF?

4) My current AV kit is:

Philips 28" W/S 9525
Tosh 2109 DVD
Aiwa HS-852V VCR
Yam 795aRDS Receiver
Amstrad DRX100 Sky Digibox

Any pointers to CCF files that contain this kit would be helpful.

Thanks again and apologies for the duplicate post (Dont press tab whilst in edit mode)

I'd suggest downloading a number of CCF's. Go to files section and download one for each piece of kit (assuming it's listed)

You can then pick and choose the best bits out of each (remove what you don't like and then save the CCF). When done load them in altogether (you are asked whether you wish to merge or replace - so you'd merge)

If you can't find a CCF for a piece of kit (unlikely) then you can just choose a nice LOOKING one and then teach it your remote's codes (overwrite the existing IR codes)

Setting up can take a while, and for many writing CCF's has become a hobby, as we all search for that "perfect CCF" for our own needs (and the other half's requests!)
