My RC5000 will not let me calibrate the screen, it just buzzes at me and lets me try again. Any ideas? Also (this maybe related), some days the touch screen works flawless...others I need to push repeatedly and with more force. Is there a sensitivity adjustment? Any advice is greatly appreciated! The screen calibration routine is intended to be done with a stylus such as one from a Palm Pilot. As far as I know there is no screen touch sensitivity adjustment.

And you should not need to calibrate the screen unless it is not correctly sensing your commands (ie. you push one button and another activates). Unlike the Take Control, you cannot adjust the sensitivity.

Jamie,
While I don't believe the calibration influences touch pressure directly, I have found that it does influence how well the machine responds.
I think the reason is that for some reason it forgets the coordinents of the screen for various buttons. You compensate by pushing harder.
By calibrating, you restore the coordinents (need to look up the spelling I can see that) which makes the remote more responsive.

Seems to be working well. I feel like an idiot since I own a palm IIIx and calibrate it regularly! Thank you all for your advice. Jamie
