Has anyone done a ccf that fast forwards through comercials?

Seems like that would be easy. Time how long it takes your TIVO to go through a 30 sec commercial. Let's say 3 seconds. Create a button that issues the IR command for FF, delays for 2.8 seconds, then issues a play command. That should just about do it!

Another neat thing I have thought of for the TIVO (which I purchased but have not played with yet due to my harddrives not arriving yet), would be to make 4 buttons: 30 min., 1 min., 1.5 min. and 2 min. Once you have gone thru one commercial sequence during a show, the same commercial slot time should be used the next time, so you could just hit one of these buttons to skip the entire commercial block. I don't know if this is too practical, but once I get my system up, I will try it out.

Where have people been discussing Tivo? I don't see much on this site, but have some questions regarding getting both Direct TV and local channels going thru my Tivo. Other forums discussing this would be great!
