I just got my RC5K 3 days ago, and have been accumulating the .ccf files from this site. Here's the question: How do I take one person's .ccf file that has one device that I need, and merge it with another .ccf file that has a second device that I need, etc. etc.

How can I just get the portion of the ccf file that relates to my component? Do I have to load the .ccf file, delete all the non-relevant devices, save the modifed .ccf file (example: load the ccf with the Pioneer DV414, delete all but the DV414 stuff then save it as dv414 .ccf), then load and merge all the ccf file pieces?

thanks

Keith

Keith,

There is an option to merge when you have a CCF open and you open another one. Don't worry about duplicate panel names. Then just delete everything you don't need.

Just try it. It's less confusing than it at first seems.

Gary
