Does anyone know if these codes exist so that I do not have to cycle through each video input with the remote?

Several RCA devices use function number 58 in an interesting way. It is a discrete on function when the device number matches the current device. It is a discrete input selection when the device number is certain numbers that don't match the current device.

You can download my MakeHex program from the utilities area here (or download Barry's GenIrdb program). They each include an "IRP" file for RCA protocol and everything you need to generate whatever combinations of device number and function number you want.

Generate function number 58 for a few different device numbers. RCA protocol only has device numbers 0 to 15, so you could try them all, but I think devices 7, 13 and 14 are likely to be the input selections for a TV, maybe 5, 8, or 12.

Try those and see what they do.
