This may be a stupid question, but here it goes...
How do you get a "Smap shot" of a pronto screen...as used in the "files" section of remote central. I'm guessing it's a jpeg, but was wondering how to do that...Thank you in advance.

Jose,

If you want a snapshot of your own screen:

1. run the emulator
2. press the [ALT]-[PrtScr] keys (copies active window to the clipboard)
3. open a paint program
4. paste
5. use the paint program to cut out and manipulate the relevant part

If, on the other hand, you are trying to save the pictures you find in the files section, right-click on the picture.

Just press 'print screen' button when running the emulator. A bitmap of your pronto screen will be saved in c:\Prontoscreens. A feature of the emulator.

Thank you for your responces. Can you then use those bitmaps and put them on the pronto as a "frame"? I would guess that you would be able to....

What I am thinking of doing is having buttons (like "keypad"). When they are selected, the background stays the same but the pronto brings up a "pop-up" screen (jump to a panel with the background...). When done the user selects "done" and it jumps back....

Heck with it...I know this can be done...thanks for your help...

Jose -- depending on how many you use, you may run out of memory. Full-screen bitmaps (you realize you will need to crop them to 240x219) take up a fair bit of memory.
