Help....

I've read in this forum how to create custom .bmp that I could use at buttons; but, I'm having some problems. I currently use CorelPhotoPaint. I load in the DSS .BMP and change the text to say DSS-SONY. I then save the graphic as a 4-bit, 16 color, 58X46 pixel .BMP windows file. HOWEVER, anytime that I open that file, it becomes completely black. What am I missing here? Please help.

Are you converting the bitmap before saving it? Technically if you're loading a 4-color bitmap from ProntoEdit you don't need to do any converstion.

But if you have to, the best way is to load a bitmap saved from ProntoEdit, then save it's 4-color palette to disk. Then, do a CONVERT TO PALETTED and "load" that saved palette in.
