I've tried to learn the codes from the RX-V795 receiver remote and haven't had much luck.

Each button learns consistently, the same code each time I try. Yet, none work.

The learned codes I've copied from other CCFs work fine. They seem to be considerably longer than the codes I get from my remote.

What could be the problem?

Thanks!

Gary,
I also a RX-V795a did you 'learn' the codes directly or thru ProntoEdit? Sometimes my Pronto learns directly (from by original Yamaha remote) when it appears to with ProntoEdit (signals 'OK' learned successfully) but doesn't take.
I also found that Chris Baigent's CCF in the files downloads workes very well - with clean codes, and has very cool buttons to boot (look under the Yamaha device section).

Ric,

Thanks for the reply. I have been trying to learn using PE.

Chris' CCF is what I have been copying from, but his Vol +/- don't seem to be from the receiver.

I'll try to follow your suggestion and learn them directly then import into PE.

Thanks!
