Does anybody know how to create a timer/Macro that will be lanched 10mins after I press a button (Sleep Timer).
I could use lots of delays but this seem a very bad way of doing it, as I could not use the remote until that delay has finished,
Plus has anybody had the problem that a learned code will only work once e.g. channel+ only goes up one channel when will not do it again until I press a diff button

Don't think you can do that with the timer...It goes by the clock, not elapsed time.
Also, your problem with learned code working only once: I had that problem with my RCA VCR, but I found a work-around: I learnt the code for another key on the RCA remote but doesn't actually control the VCR, and paste it into the end of all my learned codes. You can do it using a macro, e.g. channel+, delay 0.1, left-arrow key, etc, but you'll find that it's too slow. So it's worth spending the effort merging the 'dummy key' into all the codes, and with mine, I found that I was able to clean up the codes too, which made it faster. It's worth a try when you're desperate, like I was! :-)

channel+ problem: is this a Thomson? I've had the same problem, my codes begin with a 7000 instead of 0000, learn the code again and again, until it works on the Pronto. Learn the code in a dark room helps also sometimes.

The timer functionality in the Pronto is not powerful enough to run at specific delays. It is tied only to the internal clock.
Like you say, delay is the only way around it, but that does render the Pronto inoperable in that time (which for what I use that feature for is ideal, but I see your problem).
With regard to your other problem, have you tried learning the code again? Try pressing the button quickly, or keeping your finger on the button when you are learning it. Also, try learning it using only the Pronto (not with ProntoEdit). Sometimes these things solve it.

Thanks
I have gone for the delay method, hoping that the next version of the pronto software will be a little smarter with the timer, hay I would settle for a little bit of RAM i could store variables in.
The button only working once problem, fixed by mistake (PS it is an amstrad) I was try to learn the code for about the 400th time, pressing the button for different amounts of times etc. but I could not find the TV remote, so I used my old 4in1 remote instead and now the buttons work fine, with no problems, A little strange but I am not one to complain.
Thanks for all you help

I had the same problem as ZED, and I also used my prehistoric universal remote to try to get pronto to learn my 'mute' button on my TV. The RCA remote would not program pronto, even tho it did say learned YES. Brought out other remote, and it worked fine. Of course it could of just been the batteries were old in my RCA remote. Something else that was strange. The remote for my Video Camera has not worked for years, but when I put it up to the pronto it learned all the commands. The Original remote still does not work the camera, but the pronto does. ( insert twilight zone theme here...)

Re the video camera, probably there's something wrong with the emitters (ie. very weak), however the Pronto was sensitive to catch it. Does the original remote work when pressed right up to the video camera's IR receiver?

Yes, its funny when ya think the batteries are going ya get closer, and closer to the camera, and no luck. It's a crappy remote, the size of a credit card, so I was allways losing it in the couch. Not much chance of doing that with the pronto. :)
