I tried searching the forum for this issue, but I couldn't find it.
I just tried using the jump backward/forward commands and they immediately cause my RC5000 to reset.
My friend's new RC5000i seems to execute these commands without any problem.
Thanks.

You probably need to update the APP version on your RC5000 so that it is version 5.0 or later. To check, go to the config panels. If you are like my RC5000 which I bought yesterday, it is on version 4.x
To update, if you do not already have it, download version 2 of the RC5000 setup software. Under TOOLS there is "Update RC5000". This will bring it up to version 5 for you and fix your problem (well it did for me anyway!)
Good luck

There is also a special note on how to get forward/back working properly on the RC5000 Setup download page on this site.

I had no idea that I had to update the APP version! I thought the new version of RC5000 Setup did this automatically. It works great now. Thanks for your help.
