I have 2 CD changers (CDP-CX450 & 250) wit the Control A1 cable combined and always, when I power on the 2nd. (250er), the master (450er) goes also on. When I now power down the master, the slave goes also off. Normaly, this is useful, but I want power on the 2nd. without the master. Is there maybe a special discrete code for this? The discrete power on codes do not help for this.

I think it's the A1 cable that causes this to happen - switching on/off one unit automaticaly switches the other one on/off. The only way round it, I think, is to do without the A1 cable all together. I assume your players have a 3 position switch on the back. There are discrete codes in the files section here for all 3 codes.

Yes, it's the A1 cable, but i don't want without it, because i lost than the functions like xfade or nodelay.

I don't know whether you're into X10, and it'd cost you a few quid/bucks, but you could always have an X10 module for each player so that you could turn them on/off independently.
By the way, why would you want power on the 2nd without the master?
