Is it possible to configure a macro to read the system clock and start at a given time? I see no mention of such a feature anywhere. Suggestions? This would be quite helpful for turning the system on for The Simpsons every evening! -Jon

Nope - right now the Pronto doesn't support timed macros, though this has been a much-requested feature. There's no reason something like this couldn't be implemented in the future with the hardware available on the Pronto, but it would probably take a lot of software rewrite. Might not be implemented until the "next" Pronto.

Well, that would certainly be upgradable with a software update. It has been mentioned before thought that there will probably be no more advances in the Pronto OS b/c it is a "finished product" and the development team has disbanded. There's no justice. -Jon

Jon, I'd bet money that further developement is going on right now as I write this. More details will be available at ProntoFest in Chicago on May 15th from the Philips representatives in attendance.

Jon,
There still is a Pronto development team working on software for the current Pronto hardware. It's just that the original team (which was located in Palo Alto, CA) which developed the hardware and the initial versions of the software, no longer exists (luckily the people who made up the original team are still alive...) and has transferred everything to the new team in Leuven, Belgium.
Regards,
Jan
