Sometimes my devices do not respond to codes sent from Pronto, both hard and soft buttons, most noticably with channel changing and volume controls. These are codes that definitely work for the desired action. And this is the case with more than one Pronto I've been using. Doing editing all from same laptop using ProntoEdit. Happens with cable box, DSS reciever, and various other devices. What I have to do is sort of wake up the device using an unrelated command such as switch sources back and forth - annoying. Has anyone experienced this problem? Recommended solution?

What brand of equipment are you using? Are you running the latest firmware? New batteries?

Aaron,
When I originally coded my pronto I noticed that some of my Learned VCR functions would not always work. I decided to check my learned codes, and sure enough...most of them were dirty. It took some time, but I eventually managed to record clean codes for all VCR functions. Now everything works fine - first time - every time.

Regards
