When I download ccf files and open them with pronto edit, I only get panels of buttons - no text and no code can anyone shed any light?

If you have Internet Explorer 5.5 installed, look at this thread: [Link: remotecentral.com]

thanks but I don't think that's the problem (got version 5.00) Prontoedit works fine for me with my own CCF, but when I try to load a downloaded one into it, I get no words or actions, just blank panels of buttone with nothing behind them

In the pronto.ini file (in your Windows directory) you need to uncomment the "unused" font sizes. It is likely that the button text your are missing is sized in one of those unused fonts.
