I think I'm missing something fundemental .. when I download ccf files from here, I can't see any of the codes when I then edit them .. eg X10, I just get buttons, not the IR codes behind them
any ideas?

dblclick the button, then look under action.
dblclick one of the actions, if does not do anything it is an alias (look for the aliased button.
