Hi,
I am experiancing a strange thing, every time I touch the screen, after leaving it untouched for aprox 30 m, there is a change in the contrast setting, usually the screen is much darker. Has anybody else encountered this problem?

I'm no techie on this subject, but from what I can remember, the warmer the Pronto, the darker the screen. It's either got something to do with the backlight or touch sensitivity (can't rightly remember).
My Psion 5 does the same thing. It's not a technical fault, just one of those things. That's why there's an accesible contrast dial, and it's not hidden away in the system setup.
At least the Pronto's screen doesn't buzz like my Psion!

Generally the Pronto's screen will start up fairly light, then darken over the next few minutes. Hold it in your hot palms and it'll get really dark.

Daniel;
I noticed in another thread that you leave your backlight on for a fairly short duration, does the backlight cause the LCD to heat up and change the contrast? Maybe I'll drop my duration a tad.
