Hi here,

I was wondering if anyone out there had had any problem when editing with prontoedit. When I try and label an button with one of Prontos built in icons I do not see that actual icon but a bar or a line or an arrow. When I download to pronto it appear as a proper icon for teletext or A/V but it makes editing in prontoedit a hassle. Any ideas.

Do you have internet explorer on your machine? if yes, what version?

The problem is explained in the FAQ (see top of forum page) and could at one time be remedied by installing the then latest Internet Explorer. However, as of NOW, the newest latest version of Internet Explorer will again break the Pronto Edit symbol font in the alias select list.

The solution was recently presented in this thread:

It does work, but involves changing one of Window's DLL files, so do it at your own risk.

Robert, the font problem you refer to only affects the display of the pull down list when you alias to a button.

Esmond's problem relates to displaying of the font on labels.

Esmond, have you rebooted after installing ProntoEdit? This is the most common fix. Can you see the Pronto font in other applications such as Word?

You could try reinstalling ProntoEdit (and rebooting).

Peter -- actually the latest problem involves all instances of the "Pronto" font in ProntoEdit, not just the alias list.

Wow, that is bad. As I said in another thread IE 5.5 is fine with Windows 2000. I haven't tried Windows ME - I got the final retail version yesterday, but have no plans to install it anywhere.
