I am stuck... I want to have 4 power buttons that are activated from the home panel. Each one would power on/off a different component (amp, tv, vcr, dvd). I added the icons but I cannot make them appear on the emulator or actual screen and I cannot "learn" codes to them. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

I don't think you can learn commands onto the home panel. Try learning them elsewhere and alias to them from the home panel.

To appear in the emulator (or the remote, for that fact) a button needs an action. If you just want to check them out on the emulator for screen placement, etc., add a dummy action like a .1 second delay.

So can I jump to a panel that will automatically execute the command? For example, I hit a button on the home panel "amp on" and it jumps to a panel that executes the command to turn the amp on. Or would it just jump to a panle where I would have to hit another button? Thanks

Just put an "Amp On" button on another panel that does all the commands you want. On the home panel, your Amp On button will be an alias to the other button, so it will do all the other button's commands. You don't need any jumps.
