For some reason, I have been unable to teach any of the commands from the remote control for my A1 into the Pronto, especially the input change controls. Has anyone else had the same experience?

Thanks,
Brian.

Hmm, judging by the number of A1 CCFs available... it can be done. ;-)

Brian,
I had one or two problems learning from one of my remotes...it turned out that the Pronto was a little fussy about the placement distance/angle of the source remote when learning (the base of the source remote was slightly angled upwards). It also turned out that the source remote's batteries needed replacement. After that it was smooth sailing.

Regards

Brian, I have my Pronto using all the DSP-A1 controls, but I had to put the remotes about 1/4" apart (where did Philips come up with 6" or so?) I recently posted my CCF file on Remote Central - you can check it out by sorting by date. Hope this works for you. The DSP-A1 is a solid performer. I have had every model since the original DSP-1. Good luck.
