Have a RX-V995 and a RX-596. One for inside and one for outside sound. When I turn on or off, both are affected. Need to know how to program seperately so they are independent.

Hmm, well here's the problem -- both use the same codes. So there's nothing you can do with just the Pronto -- you'll need to look at other ideas. IR routing systems, perhaps X-10 appliance modules to ensure only one is on at a time. Depends how you use them.

Just get yourself a Xantech RT-8 IR router and your problems will be solved. You can direst whatever IR you want to go to any device be it Yamaha or otherwise, we use them all the time they work great.

Uh, what's an IR router? Is this something that'll solve the "no discrete code" dilemma?

It basically allows you to direct *where* IR codes will go. Thus you can control two identical devices separately.
