I would like to buy a Pronto but before committing myself I need to be sure it will work with my television, which is a B&O Beovision ME6000 (about five years old).

Previous threads in this forum indicate that some models of the Pronto will work with some B&O models and others won't. How can I be sure before I buy?

I'm in the UK, if that makes a difference.

All assistance greatfully received.

All Pronto's can transmit at the B&O 455KHz carrier frequency. Only some Pronto's can learn at that frequency though. There are several ccf's in the files area that are B&O specific and have most codes for most B&O equipment. You might want to see if you can borrow a pronto and load one of the B&O ccf's to see if it will work for you.

I don't own one of the B&O learning Pronto's and I have no idea which ones will or will not learn at 455kHz. Maybe someone else can determine which ones will and which ones won't learn B&O?

B&O learning should be on any Pronto running APP v4.85.

Daniel is correct. A software trick as pulled in the more recent software versions to increase Pronto's carrier frequency learning range to accomodate B & O as well as a few others in these upper ranges such as some Kenwoods and Electrohome projectors.

Thanks guys.

I used to be happy with my Pronto, but that has changed to ecstatic. Somehow I totally missed that 4.85 also improved learning IR at higher frequencies. I already have all the codes, so I don't know why I need it, but I guess it's there if needed.

I just bought a Pronto and have upgraded the software to 4.85 so in theory should be able to program my rather old B+O MX 3000 TV.

Problem is that the Pronto learns the commands but then "fogets" them after about a minute - any ideas ?
