I have a Sony KV-32DS60 TV here in the UK, and while I've found discrete codes for Video 1, Video 2, Video 3 and Video 4 input selections, I have not found or been able to figure out discrete codes or a workaround for On and OFF

Has anyone else tackled this problem? I am beginning to think I am the only person on the planet who bought this particular TV model. None of the generic discrete's or any of the others found on this or any other sites work on this model. Can anybody help me?

Thanks in hope, Lee.

Lee,

do you actually need an on and off. I have a Sony TV
(not the same model) and I have programmed in the standby button to turn it off and one of the direct number keys which automatically switches it on and goes straight to the channel selected.

I'm not certain, but from past messages it looks like some European models don't have discrete power codes.

Like Steve said, the number buttons should turn the TV on, and the power button off.

Is the DS60 the new model with the line quadrupler in it? If so, whats the picture quality like?

Here's another technique I've seen people use on here that could be a last resort...if the TV has a little "dead time" when it's turned on where it won't receive IR codes. I've got an older Mitsubishi TV and had to use the power button with a couple delays.

For example: to turn it on I send a PWR command, a 0.2sec delay, and another PWR command. If the TV is off then it gets the first command, but doesn't hear the second one cause it's in its "dead time". If the TV is on, then the tv turns off and immediately turns back on. To turn the TV off I do the above, a .5 sec delay (which is longer than the dead time) and another Power command.

You have to deal with the TV turning on and off quickly, but it works well for the "one button" configuration.

I also have the Sony KV-32DS60 and having the same trouble with discrete codes.

I have only found 3 of the AV codes but they 'scramble' (as if the picture is not tuned) the picture unless the button is pressed twice.

Can you send your 4 discrete codes for the AV inputs

Thanks
Andy
