Thanks for all the help I've received! This site is great!, But I am still seeking support and recomendations for an installers forum... Any installer could see the value of this. no matter what brand of whole house system... there are many options and hookup questions that could better be addressed outside of the technical help department. Please submit a vote for this forum either on this thread or direct to Dan. Because ist not just the installers, but the buyers and do it yourselfers who would LOVE this post. Thanks Again!

Jay,

Instead of pressing Daniel to create the forum that you want, have you considered dedicating your own resources to such an endeavor?

Such action would give you the desired control of a forum of your own, and eliminate the whole "campaign" process you are initiating, here.

You would do as you please with your own site, and Daniel would do as he pleases with his.

Everybody wins.

I'm not AGAINST such a forum, but I'm not certain there's enough interest or traffic to warrant it (over the existing ones).

Dear Zoom... Dear Dan...
Sure I am "campaining" for such a forum, and Yes I could dedicate my own resources to such a project. In fact I have already started my own website for my company Tech Life...
www.techlifegetwired.com
;however, this is already an existing, and excelent platform. Daniel is far more impartil to products than I could be as a re-seller/installer. I'm sure this site already gets a few hit's from installers, but the re-peat hits would grow like wild fire if they knew they could pop in and get an answer or two from other installers on "why does my Niles Intelepad lock up after two hours of programing?" or "I want to use a panja touchscreen to view my home in Italy real time... Can I do that?" perhaps it's as simple as does anybody know when in hell Kustom will release the KHS-6640 that they promised last December? I want to give a quote, but don't know if I could get one this year..."
Point? Well I'm sure of the need for such a site.. Hve you ever been to a Cedia convention? Well the last one I went to had over 12,000 install professinals there, and I'll bet that was only about 2% of the countries serious installers.
Lastly... I have nothing to gain fron competing with this site.. "Dan has built it.. They will come.", "but if you give them good hotdogs and beer at a reasonable price.. they will come back over and over and over."
I think I've said my piece.. At this point. There is no reason for me to tell other installers about this site... For the most part it's pretty basic, but you can't show me an installer who would like to talk to the mopes at tech support (who have never installed for the most part) rather than another red blooded installer who know how to make systems work together..
Myself? I have pretty much seen it all, but 5 years ago I would have LOVED such a site, and even now.. there is always the next new screwed up thing. ;)
Get it?

Thanks Korey,
You and others have voices ome sopport, and my web site has had some supportive hits, but I think that Dan needs to be told directly, and this thread needs to be kept alive. Even non-installers are welcome to help out.
Thanks again.
