Has anyone out there sucessfully used pronto edit with their C1? I have added a Belkin port replicator to my C1- this gives me the serial port that pronto edit requires, BUT pronto edit can not find my pronto, even though it opens the correct port. Comes back with error message " port opened, unable to connect with pronto" I have spoken to Phillips UK who suggest trying another pc, but this isn't really viable at the moment.

Anyone have any ideas?

p.s. the serial port ( according to device manager ) is COM2, there are no other communication devices other than a USB modem. In fact everything is USB...
The Sony runs win98, 266mhx 64mbRAM..

Can you try configuring it for COM1? And ensuring you're running the latest Belkin drivers?
