HELP Pronto just Died !

Was using it and the last screen I saw was the pronto stuck in a send command mode. Pulled rechargable battery but still no response. Pronto edit say it is having problems connecting and there is no response from the pronto.

Resetting the Pronto might also have an affect. There's a Reset button in a little hole on the back of the Pronto.

Tried the reset and it worked, bad thing is I now have a LCD problem, a darker smudge in one area of the screen the size of a 1/2 dollar.
I downloaded my config file again , just in case, and set the pronto on the charger. When I tried to use it 10min later it was dead again. This is my current status.
