I aquired my Pronto today and after dowloading ProntoEdit and playing with some CCf's I downloaded, tried to download them to my Pronto.
My pc has a serial mouse and no other port that the cable supplied with the Pronto will fit into. I am not computer literate(!)so I cant work out where I plug the cable in!!! If I detach my mouse touse that port, I have no mouse function. I know I am being really stupid but how do I get this to work!!!

Help!!!!!!!!

Do you have another "larger" port on the back? You can buy converters from the Pronto's 9-pin serial port to the older 25-pin style.

99.9% of the time you an work your computer without a mouse so conect you pronto to the serial port that you mouse is connected to themn go from there. I hope this works for you..

OK, this is unrelated to the topic at hand, but for the theory that ProntoEdit is only compatible with certain 16550 serial ports: chances are pretty high that Buggy's computer -- with a 25-pin serial port -- uses the 16450 UART.
