How do I program a two-digit channel number onto a single button? For example, I want to preset MTV, which is channel 25 on my Sat, onto a single button labelled MTV, and so on.
Thanks

Using ProntoEdit you would alias a keypress of 2 and then 5 to the button (Note: some devices require that you insert a short delay command between keypresses). This of course assumes that you have one panel that is configured as a keypad in your device setup, and that you have learned (or copied the IR code) for each number key from your device remote to each button on the keypad panel.

Sinbad, I can't find any reference to "alias" in either the Pronto manual or the Prontoedit guide. How do I go about creating them? Also, I have a Sony STRDB930 receiver, which has a two-way LCD remote, and I can't seem to find how to change the source inputs with the Pronto - on the Sony remote, you select the input with a jog-wheel, and then press the wheel to select, but this code only lasts a fraction of a second, not long enough for the Pronto to learn. Any ideas?
Thanks

In pronto edit, double click the button you want to use for MTV to bring up the properties.

There is a list of buttons on the left. One is called alias. Click this, then a new window will appear with all your current devices and panels on it. navigate through this to find where your keypad is located, and select '2'. This will return you to the properties. An 'alias' should appear in the white box, showing the first command that will be sent when you press the button. Now press 'Delay'. This will make sure that there is a small delay between button presses. Now use the alias button again to add the '5'. Click OK when done, and the MTV button should now send a 2-5 when pressed.

One of the FAQ sections has the description of this as well. The FAQ, IMHO, has more info than the user's guide regarding certain features of the remote.
