I want to program my RC5000 to turn off my entire system everynight at 2am. I have been looking and reading everything I can find to locate the timer function. Daniel has spoken of it in many replies, but I can't figure it out. Am I stupid? where is it? Please let me know. Jeff

You need Pronto4All to make your RM5000 think it's a Pronto. Do a search in this forum for +MMC.
I have been using it and timers work fine.

Currently, the +MMC fix only works on an old buggy version of the firmware. I believe it was mentioned a few days ago that an update might come out.

So can I d/l the pronto edit, update the system and make my RM5000 have the pronto software instead? They both seem to be the same, just a different name. I am going to keep looking for the +MMC and see if that works. Any other help will be appreciated. Thanks

No, you cannot load standard Pronto firmware on an RC5000. There are internal ID numbers that prevent this from working. The firmware with transfer to the RC5000 OK, but instead of running you'll receive an "invalid software version" message asking you to download the correct version.

So I tried the +MMC several times with no luck. Is that my only option? I really want to get rid of my All-for-One and only use my RC5000. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Thanks, Jeff

The +MMC hack only works on ProntoEdit v1.04 and does not seem to be successful on all RC5000's out there -- no one really knows why.
