Where did people find documentation of the CCF file format for the utilities they wrote?

It seems they "broke" it themselves. Or, at least one person did and provided the source code.

I got it from a posting someone made here a long time ago. It was about 75% complete with quite a few errors. But I worked most of it out. There are a few bytes around that I don't understand but they always seem to be zero, so probably reserved for later use.
