1. Anyone know how I can change the inputs on my Sony STRDB930 receiver, either by direct key action (CD, DVD, Tape, etc.) or using an up/down scroll thru the inputs?
2. My Pronto (brand new, Euro version) does not remember global commands for the vol/chan up/down buttons - I have to set them for each device individually. I want the vol buttons to always operate the receiver, and the channel buttons to always operate the Sat - any comments?
3. Can I rename/delete devices on the home screen? It looks cluttered at the moment, as I only have around three or four devices I want to program. Ideally, I would like to do this directly from the remote, without having to download software/hook-up my PC etc.

Many thanks for any advice you can give.

1. For your receiver: What ever functions are available on your receivers remote (either a toggle through the inputs, or a direct function button) can be programmed into your pronto.

2. Gobal commands for volume up/down and ch -/+ does have to be programmed into each device. That is the only way to do it.

3. To delete devices. Go to the on screen menu and choose DEL. Choose any device to get to a device page, any one will do, just as long as you are not on the home page. Press the device name on the top left of the remote to bring up the device menu. Now, Hold down the left hard button on the bottom of the Pronto and select the device you wish to delete from the pull down menu. The Pronto will then ask you if you which to delete the device. Select "Delete Device".

Note: The programming software is not difficult to learn. It opens up a vast amount of options to customize your remote. This is an expensive little gadget. Have fun with it.

If you have any problems programming it with the software, search for your problem on the strings of this site.

Good-Luck

1) As CAVC said. Or, just download someone else's file to get the codes.

2) Actually global commands on hard buttons should propagate throughout all devices, providing you're running the latest firmware (APP v4.85), haven't programmed those buttons to do ANYTHING else under each component, and have configured them under the Home page properties section.

3) As CAVC said.
