Ok...New problem..the recarger/batt pack is less than 30 days old...the first day I put in the bat pack and put on the charger over night. Worked good up till now, 25 days. Now the Pronto shows a low bat condition, flaching bat icon. After putting the Pronto on the charger and noting the green light is illuminated I assume a charge is in progress. When I return to it I notice that the green light is extinguished, assuming a charged batt pack. When I operate the Pronto the low batt icon is flashing again. Suggestions anyone?

Take the battery out and put it back... should clear it up.

Make sure it has charged overnight regardless of charge light status before you take the pack out as daniel suggested.

You *may* have to do a couple times. That is, take it out, charge overnight, take out again.

The problem is it, it has catch 22 bug. It can't properly charge it with out a fresh pack to calibrate the meter. And you can't get a fresh pack with out it properly charged.

I believe it goes into trickle charge even if the light goes out. If it does trickle then one cycle should work but if it does not trickle it still may calibrate to an improperly charged pack. It does not hurt to do it couple times to be sure.

Thanks Dan...taking the battery out and reinserting it sloved the problem...when I reinserted the battery there was no flashing battery low icon and I was then able to get into setup...the battery indicator indicated a full charge....so if the battery was fully charged in the first place..why did it show low battery and not allow entry into setup?

Every time I've seen this instance, the battery has been fully charged -- the remote just didn't know it. It's either a software glitch, or the result of poor contact between the remote and battery. Typically the battery is so well overcharged it'll only charge for 5 minutes before turning off.
