Since there is no longer a light sensor, it would be a great feature if you could tell the remote to use the backlight between certain hours. I don't think this could be done with a timer. I find myself turning off the backlight during the day to save batteries, but then turning it back on at night. I know I can just press the backlight button, but I am lazy!
It seems like a failly easy request for the programmers at Philips. Everything is already there to do it.
Any ideas / comments?

I think this is a great idea, and I don't see why it should be a problem at all as far as programming goes. Or even just a button that you can press (like the Backlight button) that will keep it on constantly. This would probably be best when used with a charger though. But still a great idea for us Pronto owners who missed out on the light sensor.

While we're on the topic of "time-of-day" wishes, it'd probably be a nice idea to have the option to return to a certain screen at a certain time of day. For instance, reset to the home page at 4 AM if the remote has not been recently used.

I really don't see how this is useful. Needing the back light is dependent on ambient light. The ambient light in a room can vary based on shade up/down, sunny/cloudy, room lights on/off/dim. For the few people and few cases where it would actually be useful all the time, I'd rather see Philips use the program space for a more useful feature like "return to previous screen", etc. Just my opinion.
