I just ordered a Pronto from a local dealer. On the invoice it is listed as a model number TS 1000 with the Charger as DS1000. Is this the same as the RC5000? Also tbhe total cost is 450! It seems that this price is quite high after reading several posts here. Can someone give me some online sites to check for better pricing? Is it worthwile to pay more to have the dealer set it up? Are there any availability issues? Thanks in advance for any help!

The Pronto is not the RC5000. The RC5000 is the "Marantz RC5000" and comes with the charger in box. The Pronto is the "Philips Pronto TS1000", to be exact, with an optional DS1000 desktop charger.

It is not worth having a dealer set it up. It may take a few hours, but soon you'll get the hang of it. Then, you will probably change it a lot. I continually find new ways to make mine better and easier to use.
