Sorry for newbie questions, but..ugh...I guess I'm thick, could someone please explain to me the relevance of "operating a device without affecting the active device" on page 9 of European manual? i.e not sending IR commands.. Also, what's the (simple explantion please!) between control panel buttons and device items- surely if I want to operate the TV's teletext, does it matter how this is acheived?
Finally, before I re read the manual for the thrid time, and load even more IR commands into the pronto, if I'm going to use the pronto edit ( assuming I'm not to thick to manage!) am I going to waste my time by loading everything now- i.e. should I juts move onto editing, create my own pages/labels/buttons and then assign the IR commands?
Thanks Wayne

The device buttons usually have a code assigned to them that will switch your receiver to the correct input when you select a device. Sometimes you don't want the receiver to change, so you can hold down one of the bottom hard keys while you select the device and the IR code will not be sent to the receiver.
You are not wasting time. All the codes need to be in you pronto sooner or later. When you start using ProntoEdit and making your panels fancier you can simply copy or alias to the codes you already have in there.
You're not thick. It's all a bit confusing at first.
Enjoy,
Dave
