I have an old but very fine JVC FX1010 tuner that did not come with a remote even when new. I believe it was controlled by the infrared receiver in an amplifier (also 1010 series)through a two conductor cable. I have a JVC tv with a similar port on the back and was wondering if anyone new if the infrared receiver on the receiver could be used to control the tuner.
