I am trying to store IR codes in the database using Steven Keyser's writeup. Whenever I try to write the database back to disk, I get an Invalid database format error. I then need to delete the rcir.mdb and rcir.ldb files and restore them, as neither the database utility nor pronto edit will recognize the database. I am using Pronto edit V1.05 and IRDatabase 0907. (He mentions something about loading 0906 too, but this version is not available anymore.) Any clues as to the problem will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, sjf

Well, I guess I'm the fool! Turns out the problem was that I was trying to "save" the database before exiting the IRDatabase program. This apparently caused the database to get corrupted. The answer is to simply quit without saving -- Who'da guessed!
Thanks anyway, sjf
