IMHO a manual is not needed. I learnt to build my CCF by reading the FAQs here, and playing with ProntoEdit and various CCFs downloaded from this site. When I convinced myself that I could program the Pronto the way I wanted, I then bought a Pronto and by the time I reeived it my CCF was ready to go. (Not that it was finished - there was much tweaking to get it really sleek and user-friendly (another term for fool-proof)). Doing it is the best way to learn, and it is a really simple interface with some quirks that are well highlighted here.

That is how I learned the Pronto as well, but I am in the computer field designing UI client/server apps, so I am more prone to pick this type of thing up a little faster than most. Not everyone has the luxury of understanding graphic processing and Windows apps at first glance. Tony, what is your profession, just curious if it is similiar to mine?
