I would like to throw out a huge thank you to Gil Diaz for finally fixing the Sony VisionTouch problem. I got one of his KickAss cables in the other day and it works perfectly. I have now joined the vast
happy-Pronto-users collective, and I like it.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about do a search on "Vision Touch" to get a clearer understanding.

Good job Gil.

What I find interesting is that the TheaterTouch T2 can directly control VisionTouch equipment WITHOUT a converter cable. Wonder what it does different?

As per the thread directly below this one and your request I performed a search on the forum for "Vision Quest" and ask you to do the same. No hits. That blows that whole thread right out the window.

It's "visiontouch" or "vision touch", not "vision quest".

That's really interesting to hear Daniel. I had no idea the TheaterTouch T2 works directly. Do you have any more info? Does it actually operate the GUI? Does it have direct discrete codes for specific functions? (sound field, settings, input, etc.) My guess is they have worked out some sort of an agreement with Sony for their proprietary IR stream. That's the only thing I can think of. But it would seem rather idiotic for Sony to contract out the technology to a "competitor" when their own universal remote does not work!!!!! Typical Sony.

I really have no further information -- I did try. But commands include keypad, inputs, volume, GUI, cursor, etc. No direct commands for controlling sound options -- looks like you still need to go through the GUI. Frequency is listed as 455kHz.
