I have a Pioneer Elite VSX-26TX receiver. I've wired my "A" speakers to my home theater and my "B" speakers to the patio. I'd like to be able to control the A/B function with the Pronto but can't even find these buttons on the OEM remote. The A/B switch is a hard button on the front of the unit. I've given up trying to find a discrete code for it and would be happy just to find any IR code for it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Same situation here! I don't have any codes either, but they should exist, the buttons are not toggles, meaning they don't stay in or stay out, so it is possible that there are codes to control these.

Long Shot - I have a (very) old Pioneer Receiver which has SP/A and SP/B buttons. They are not discreet - they only toggle the B (or A) speakers on or off.

Since I haven't finished programming my remote, I have nothing you need. However, in searching for a demo, I came across [Link: hometheatersite.com], which are the scree shots for an old VSX 9700S. Look on the 4th screen and you will find "A" and "B" buttons. MAYBE they will work on your newer system.

Sorry - it's all I got.

I had an old Pioneer VSX-901S with a remote control with 2 seperate buttons for speakers (one for A, one for B). I tried the old remote with the new system (VSX-26TX) and it didn't work either. So, mark down strike two.

do you have an infared eye mounted outside, that you want to bring the pronto outside with the system off then turn it on? Really, for the time that it takes to find the pronto is the time it could take you to find your remote and press a button.

Sorry i meant to say the time it takes you to find your pronto and press a button, is the same amount of time to just walk over to the unit and press the "b" button on the receiver

Actually the Pronto works through the window to the patio and I was going to set it up so that "Patio Music" was a macro that would automatically set speakers "B".

I was trying to get away from having to use the multi-room controller since I'd have to buy an additional amp, but that may be my only solution besides manually switching to B. Thanks.
