I just received the latest version of the QuadScan scaler v2.05. In this release they changed the IR codes to not conflict with some other equipment. I had conflicts with Sony codes in prior versions. Unfortunately, the Pronto doesn't seem to be able to deal with these new codes. I am able to learn the codes fine through the Pronto, but when trying to operate the device from the Pronto, the device doesn't respond. The original remote works fine.
Has anyone else gotten this to work? What should be my next step in resolving this? I am on Sys v3.6 and App v4.81.

Well, you could try upgrading to APP v4.85. Also, if you're learning in ProntoEdit learn on the Pronto alone.

OK, I'll try v4.85. I didn't try learning with ProntoEdit. I did the learning with the Pronto alone.

Daniel,
Thanks for the help so far. I've upgraded to the latest software and tried all the tricks you suggested. Still no go though. The Pronto is recording something, but it just doesn't work like the original remote does. The device doesn't respond at all. Any other ideas?
BTW, I also had a devil of a time trying to communicate with the Pronto via ProntoEdit after upgrading to 1.05. I never had this much difficulty with 1.04. I finally got it to work, but I'm not sure what I did. Having the backlight on did seem to help.

Uploading and downloading to the Pronto works better today. Go figure!
I wound up getting the QuadScan codes working. Thanks to another suggestion, I was able to record the codes through an intermediate remote and then into the Pronto. This technique worked. Why, I don't know?
Once I get this fine-tuned, I'll upload to the files area.
Thanks again,
Chris

Chris, i used to download codes like the old pioneer codes with the 1.125 mhz codes into a secondary remote, then would learn it into an rc2000 and it worked. I just had to find a universal remote with the codes that i needed. Good luck.
