I too wish folks would use the search function more -- but I know it can be slow due to the amount of data it has to sift through. After I answer a question 10 or 15 times, I usually add it to the FAQ and, in future, respond to the same question with a brief answer and a reference to the FAQ for further information. If more information is required or it's a slightly different question that requires a slightly different answer than normal, so be it. I generally like to see no question go unanswered either by myself or someone else (excepting requests for discrete codes and CCF files where I -- and possibly no one else -- have no information to give).

Usually the more replys in a given thread the more interesting it is to read and respond to. Mabe that is changing. If so, here is something for you to think about. Blah Blah Blah Blah, Blah Blah Blah Bla, Bla Blah. Blah Blah Blah, Blah Blah Blah Bla, Bla Blah. Blah Blah Blah, Blah Blah Blah Bla, Bla Blah. Blah Blah Blah, Blah Blah Blah Bla, Bla Blah.

Daniel, sorry for taking up your web space with those posts, but i really think it had to be said. But seriously folks, I've seen my share of "dumb" comments or questions and rude condescending posts. And even when they make their way to this forum, I have never seen Dan treat anyone who visits this site with anything but respect and courtesy. I respect, admire, and thank him for it.

Aw, ain't in no pool, and don't need any UN peacekeepers. This dork knew what he was doing when he started this thread. I'm just juvenile to accomadate him. As for Karl, Whazzuaa? And Mike, put your money where YOUR mouth is. How much? This dork(Dork) wants attention, and he got it. Wanna bet he replies? Can't stand it, can you Dork? Go somewhere else!

Wow, I hate to say it but the collective IQ level of Pronto owners has gone way down. FRC has the right idea. Search the forum before you post. It's annoying to see the same questions over and over. Anyone who disagrees with the original post is a moron. Please sell your Pronto, you're giving us a bad name!
>Usually the more replys in a given thread the more >interesting it is to read and respond to.
Exactly Karl. You didn't mean to, but you actually boosted the idea behind the original post. If you SEARCH the forum first and find an article that answers your question, then reply to THAT article, then that thread will now have one more interesting article in it. If you start a new thread, then you're just making this forum more fragmented (and larger and harder to search) than it already is.

Ken, sorry but I think you belong in the same pool with FRC. You know the group that always wanted to be in control and isolate certain other people that you don't think measure up to your standards. Give someone new a chance - everyone is not born into this world knowing everything and how to do everything. Some people just need a little guidance and they will catch on and I am willing to help those people and not try and intimidate them

See how easy it is to use this forum. You can post and reply all to one posting. It did not take 3 - 4 identical posts to get this kind of Q&A. You were able to scan down thru the list and find this one thread and respond to it. Very simple and easy.
This was not to be a bashing thread, unlike some of you wanted to make it out to be, but a "FYI, heads-up, here is what you can do to help yourself AND SAVE TIME, and if you still have problems, then go ahead and post". I am sorry for the slight lack of tact, but sometimes blunt is better. Simply try to look around a bit first. I bet you don't call up your car dealer asking how to set favorite channels on the stereo or set the climate control, do you? You fiddle with these things first to see if you can figure it out. If not, you pull out the manual next and try to figure it out. If you still have problems, you might then call (or post...). Same goes here.
As if I am going to post my email. If you reply publicly like you have here, just think of the emails I would get at home, and I really just would love to sift thru some of the unprofessional and simple-minded responses. This post has served its purpose, and some of you will utilize this site much more efficiently than you have up to this point.
I thank those that have supported this post openly. These are the people that have learned how to navigate thru the files and search the forum. If the time was taken to search/review the site for all it has to offer in the time some of these responses were made, you would be better off than you are now. This is my final reply, I have made my point, and I am sure this post will stay near the top for a few days to come.

I didn't want to get involved in this but I support FRC all the way. It's best to be considerate of others and try to help yourself first. It isn't about being in control, it's about being polite.
How much money is wasted and ultimately passed on to us consumers on customer service personell answering questions where the answer was clearly in the manual that came with the product? The answer in financial terms, lots.
People need to stop being lazy and do for themselves first.
Last I'll say on the subject.
