Discreet ON OFF For Panasonic TX32PF10

AFAIN there is no discreet on off for pan TX32PF10 TV. However I have devised a method of creating separate switches for ON and OFF as follows.

Although they are not discreet code as such, they do do the job and I think are the next best thing.

ON BUTTON
Create a Button with an alias as follows:
Normal TV Power Button
Normal TV Power Button
Delay-0.7sec
Normal TV Power Button
Normal TV Power Button

this button will now switch the TV on (when off) and if the TV is on will restart the TV. In other words the pressing of this button will always result in the TV being ON.

OFF BUTTON
Create a Button with an alias as follows:
Normal TV Power Button
Delay-0.7sec
Normal TV Power Button

this button will now switch the TV off (when on) and if the TV is already off the button will not do anything. In other words the pressing of this button will always result in the TV being OFF.

I hope this helps somebody and therefore makes my trial and error tactics worthwhile. Let me know :)

I'm pretty sure the discreet ON/OFF codes listed in the Panasonic section on this site work with the PF10's. I'm sure I tried this on my 36PF10 and they do work.
Check them out.

Norman,

Thanks mate - Have you any idea how long that took me :)

I'll check it out again but don't think they worked.

Whilst you're here, have you got discreet codes for Panasonic A/V Selector?

Yep, as I thought, the discreet Power codes in the Panasonic files do not work with the TX32PF10 so my original post might be of use to somebody :)

I'm sure someone posted discreet codes for the PF10's ON/OFF - still, knowing my memory it was probably for another device I use.
I do however know that there aren't any descreet codes for selecting the AV source. This has been raised before on this forum and various solutions have been mentioned.
Anyway, I'm off to find those ON/OFF codes, I'll let you know if I have any success.

I think I've found them, and thay are here.
Goto the file section of this site and in this order goto:-

Component Configuration CCF's
Panasonic
Televisions

The TX-36PF10 by Steve Wright has hex descreet codes for on and off. There are also two other CCF's for PF10's.
I haven't tried them yet, so let me know how you get on.

I selected the Search Forum option and searched on PF10. It took a while but I suggest you do it - loads of useful info including an AV select workaround.
The following was posted by Steve as a solution for ON/OFF:-

The codes I use for discrete on/off are

I copied them from this forum, I do not remember the name of the guy who posted them, but thanks a lot to him. I have a UK TV, it might be that they will not work on other models but give it a try.

NB I have to repeat the Off code twice to have it work reliably. Finally, remember to paste also the very first row e.g. "0000 0070 00FA 0000"

Norman,
You are brilliant, these are just what I have been looking for. They work perfectly on my PF10, now all I have to do is find the workaround for the AV inputs.

Thanks again

Norman,

These codes will also work on my TX-32PK20 too!

Cheers.
