I seem to recall that tere was a voice controlled remote control available at one point or another. I think it was revesable (it had buttons on top and voice control on the bottom).

What would be the purpose of controlling your HT from the Internet (other than causing the baby sitter to think your house was haunted)...

There is the invoca (?) remote, but it got bad reviews. There is also the one that Daniel saw at CES 2001, is it out yet?

1) You might want to tape something when you are not home, and you forgot to set the VCR.
2) You might want to control the camera you are using to keep an eye on the baby sitter.
3) You might want to add some randomness to timers when you are gone on vacation.
4)You might have a feed from your HT to your PC, and while at work you can change the TV channel or DVD movie :-)

I am sure others can think of better reasons
